Team
We depend on multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that no savings opportunity is overlooked. Each team is led by a seasoned project leader who is a strong communicator and manager. This individual is responsible for staffing the project and ensuring that the team achieves its objectives on time and with minimal disruption to the company’s day-to-day business.
All of our consultants are seasoned procurement professionals with at least ten years of experience in their individual specialties and a strong combination of business and technical acumen. Each possesses deep category experience and longstanding relationships.
Every team also includes professionals with direct experience negotiating from the client, as well as the supplier, side of the table. This ensures that the solutions that we recommend are practicable and cost-effective.
Managing Principal
Steve Garson is the Managing Principal of Better Cost Control and has extensive experience managing large cost containment projects. Since founding the company in 2001, Steve has led project teams that have saved Better Cost Control clients millions of dollars. Prior to founding BCC, Steve held a variety of senior finance and operating roles at companies ranging in size from 1.5 billion in revenues to complete startups. Most recently, Steve was the VP of Marketing and Engineering for Semprio, Inc., a Boston- based business-buying group that aggregated the buying power of companies to obtain better pricing for products and services.
